D7 is for passive income: pensions, rental income, dividends. D8 (the digital nomad visa) is for remote workers and freelancers earning from outside Portugal, usually on a long-term contract or steady freelance work. D2 is for entrepreneurs and the self-employed setting up a business or freelance activity in Portugal. Yes, we handle 2 qualifying routes. The fund route is €500,000 into a CMVM-registered fund, held for five years, and the capital stays yours. The cultural route is a donation to Portuguese artistic and heritage projects, so it’s a lower number, but the money doesn’t come back. Most of our clients go with the fund, mainly for that reason.

Our fee is €5,000 for the main applicant and spouse together, plus €700 for each additional family member. Half on engagement, half when your application is submitted. Renewals are €1,800 per family. That’s the same whichever route you take.

Your investment sits outside our fee, and so do AIMA’s government fees, which are set by law and paid per person.

The NIF and bank account aren’t part of Premium. We sell them separately so you can time them. The usual order is NIF first (the consulate often asks for it, and you need it to open the account or sign a lease), then the bank account. For a long term visa application you’ll normally need proof of funds in Portugal before you apply.

It’s for people preparing the application themselves. A lawyer checks everything you’ve uploaded, you get one call with them, and they send written feedback on what’s missing, what’s inconsistent, and what could slow your case down. Fix things and want another look? That’s €80 per round.

Everything is tracked in your Novomove portal, so you always know where you are. With Premium, a case manager follows your case, reminds you what’s next, and makes sure everything gets prepared and reviewed. The lawyers and tax experts you talk to are all connected through the same platform.

Yes. A one-off 45-minute call with a Portuguese tax expert, for questions like how you’ll be taxed once you move, or what local compliance looks like. You don’t need to buy a package.

Almost. Calls are on Zoom, and your Novomove portal is where everything lives — files are uploaded and shared encrypted, and there are no office visits. The one exception is the bank account: some documents have to be posted to Portugal so a lawyer can certify them. We tell you exactly what to send and where before you post anything.

No. Only the Portuguese authorities approve or refuse a visa or residency application. What we do is keep your case organised and connect you with the accredited professionals who guide you, review your materials, and help with things like appointment prep.
