A note from Philip
Confession: when I moved to Portugal from Bali, it took me about six months to feel settled.
The information was everywhere and none of it agreed.
Forum threads from 2019. A lawyer billing by the hour who never saw the full picture. A tax office that expected me to already know how it worked.
So in 2022 I built the service I wished I'd had.
The idea is simple. Do the boring parts properly, in the right order, at a price you see before you pay.
NIF first. Then the bank account. Then the visa. Then the lease, the company, the tax return.
Moving countries is a logistics problem.
It's also a personal one. You're handing your documents to strangers and hoping it works out.

No, and no.
Novomove is a private company. We are not a government body or an official government website, and we are not a law firm, bank, accountant, or tax or investment adviser.
We coordinate
Your case manager keeps the order of steps, the deadlines, the documents and the messages in one place: your Novomove portal.
Licensed partners do the regulated work
Portuguese lawyers registered with the Ordem dos Advogados review visa dossiers, check leases and act as tax representatives. Certified accountants handle company and tax work.
The authorities decide
FinanƧas, AIMA, the consulates and the business registry issue the documents and make the decisions. We can't speed them up or promise an outcome, and anyone who says they can isn't being straight with you.
How it works when you order
Your whole case is in one place.
Documents, deadlines and every message sit in your Novomove portal. Whoever on the team picks up your case sees the full history, so you don't have to start over.
Prices are published.
Every service has its price on the pricing page, and that's what you pay. Government fees are listed separately, because they go to the government, not to us.
You can stay remote.
Most steps run through a power of attorney, so many clients never fly in before their visa appointment. Some steps can't be done remotely, like biometrics, and we'll tell you which ones up front.
